Date: 3rd & 4th April 2010 (Saturday & Sunday)
          (Registration: 2nd April 2010, 2-6pm)

AIMS

This conference will address crucial issues relating to optimal health throughout the wellness-illness continuum, including the community health service model, disease prevention and surveillance, emergency preparedness, healthy lifestyle, mental health, community support in the elderly, end-of-life care and Chinese medicinal nursing.

China is undergoing a series of health reforms, one of which aims to strengthen community health. To support this, the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Community Health Services, School of Nursing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Wuhan Public Health Bureau believe that now is the time to co-host an international conference on community health. The purpose of this conference is to provide a platform for experts in this area to meet and exchange ideas on contemporary and prospective community care and public health issues, focusing on strategies, experiences and innovations with regard to paving the way to optimal health and wellbeing.
