Thank you for your participation to
the 17th International Play Association (IPA) World Conference 2008
On behalf of the Board of the International Play Association (IPA) and the Organizing Committee of the 17th IPA World Conference 2008, thank you most sincerely for your participation in the above conference in Hong Kong this January. Your involvement contributed greatly to the success of this major event, which has already been recognized by the IPA Board as setting a “new benchmark for international play conferences”.
At the end of the conference, the more than 400 delegates placed on record their view that the world’s governments had an important role to play in securing the child‘s right to play by means of various social policies — including city planning, education, health, welfare, leisure and culture — all of which have their distinctive impact on the way children live and play in the community. We trust that there will be many opportunities in the future for us to collaborate with you in meeting this key need.
Again, we and all the members of the Organizing Committee very much value your support for what has been internationally hailed as a lively and important event. We look forward to sharing with you our continuing efforts to promote the value of play for Hong Kong children and to offer the community an ever widening range of play related services.
